Student events are one of the most important leisure activities for students. They are a great way to meet new people, have memorable experiences and, of course, to have fun! PIRATE organises a wide range of events for its members throughout the academic year – check them out below. PIRATE also organises activity days and sporting events.
Appros are a type of event in which you round different checkpoints and bars, with the aim of completing a “degree”. In Tampere, there are, for example, Hämeenkadun approt, Bubirundi and Snäkkiappro. PIRATE ry is organising an appro-style event called Cirque De La Medicine.
Sits are academic table parties. Sits are the time for singing songs, eating food and having fun together, according to strict sits rules, of course. You should get your own PIRATE songbook, LauluHilkka for for the sits! PIRATE ry is organising sits with different themes, alone and together with other organisations, throughout the year.
